This is the physiotherapy nobody talks about, and the one we hold closest. When an illness is advanced, therapy stops being about pushing and starts being about protecting: the ability to sit up and see the garden, to stand for a moment, to breathe without the rattle, to be turned without pain. Small things that are not small at all.

Most of this work happens in the patient’s own home, where they are most at peace. Sessions are short and shaped entirely around how the person feels that day. We work quietly alongside your palliative physician and nursing team, and we teach the family the turning, positioning and gentle movement that keep comfort going around the clock. Softness first. Always.

01 · Who this helps

How Palliative Physiotherapy Helps

01

Breathing Support

Positioning and breathing techniques that ease breathlessness and help clear the chest.

02

Joint Comfort & Mobility

Gentle assisted movement that keeps shoulders, hips and knees from stiffening into discomfort.

03

Preserved Independence

Preserving sitting, standing and short transfers for as long as possible, because independence is dignity.

04

Bed Rest Complication Prevention

Reducing pressure sore risk and the quiet complications that long bed rest brings.

02 · Our method

Our Approach to Comfort Care

“Amma could not be cured, but because of this team she sat in her chair by the window every evening until the very end. That mattered more than I can say.”

  • Patient-Led Sessions

Every session begins by asking how today feels. Some days we do more. Some days we simply position for comfort, and that is enough.

  • Family Caregiver Training

Turning, supported sitting, transfers, gentle massage. We teach the people who are there at midnight.

  • Coordinated Medical Care

We coordinate with your palliative doctor and nurses, never around them, so care stays consistent.

  • Home-Based Sessions

Most sessions happen at home, on the person’s own bed, in their own light, with their own people near.

Call +91 96867 82358
Is physiotherapy appropriate in advanced illness?

Yes, when its goal is comfort rather than performance. Gentle movement, breathing support and positioning meaningfully reduce suffering and preserve dignity. That is this program’s entire purpose.

Do you visit patients at home?

Yes, most of this work happens through home visits in Bannerghatta Road, RR Nagar and Kengeri, coordinated with your doctors and nursing support.

Will sessions tire the patient?

Sessions are deliberately short and always led by how the person feels that day. The intention is to leave them more comfortable than we found them, never exhausted.

Can you train our family to help?

We consider it central to the work. Safe turning, supported sitting, transfers and comfort positioning are taught to every family we serve, patiently and as often as needed.
